Inaugural DGS House Shout a resounding success!

Posted on: 26/11/2018

Months of practice and fine-tuning finally culminated in the first ever House Shout at DGS on Thursday 22nd November. The House Shout was meticulously organised by Miss Edwards, but the choice of song and rehearsals were left entirely in the hands of the House Captain team, who did an incredible job. On the day, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mr David Evans, Head of Music at Hereford Cathedral School, who adjudicated the event. In terms of songs we experienced a full range from 'Count on Me' to 'Under the Sea'. While David was complimentary of house spirit and enthusiasm across the houses, it was Greenfield House who ultimately lifted the trophy with their 'Cameron-Hobbs' mash-up! Adie House were placed second with 'It's a Hard Knock Life' and Bussell came third with 'Dancing Queen'. The House Shout was unanimously declared a brilliant success - one that we fully intend to replicate next year!
