DGS employ a Careers Adviser, Claire Tuckwell, who can be accessed via: ctuckwell@ridgewayeducation.com Claire provides impartial careers information, advice and guidance. She works predominantly with Year 11s helping them secure positive destinations for after their GCSEs, however any pupil or parent is welcome to contact Claire to ask any Careers related question and/or to arrange a Careers Advice Session. Claire has an office in S1 (study cafe) and is in school on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The RET also employs a Work Experience and Takeover Challenge Co-ordinator, Elianne Edgington to support those programs that run in Years 9 and 10. Elianne can be contacted via: eedgington@ridgewayeducation.com. Please visit the Work Experience page here.
Careers Notices are emailed out fortnightly to all parents and students, promoting the latest careers events and opportunities, including webinars, podcasts, open days and work experience opportunities in a wide range of sectors. These can be accessed within the Careers Notices page.
