GCSE and BTEC Examination Results Summer 2022

Today we congratulate all of our Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE and BTEC results. These are outstanding results by any measure, and after three years of disruption, truly exceptional. We are so pleased that this engaging and hard-working cohort of students have been awarded such superb results which allow them to progress to their sixth form, college or training course of choice.

We are delighted that 88% of our 260 Year 11 students achieved a Grade 4 and above in English and Maths, and 72% achieved Grade 5 or above in both. 85% of students gained 5 GCSE passes including English and Maths (9-4) and 70% of students gained 5 GCSE passes including English and Maths (9-5).

96% of students achieved Grade 4 and above in English and 89% achieved Grade 4 and above in Maths. At Grade 5 and above, 87% were successful in English and 74% in Maths.

Results at the highest levels are excellent across all subjects with 47% of all grades at 7-9 and 30% at grades 8 or 9. 58 students achieved 6 or more grades 8 or 9.

In summary, for the 260 students:

- 96% of students gained a grade 4 or above in English

- 89% of students gained a grade 4 or above in Maths

- 87% of students gained a grade 5 or above in English

- 74% of students gained a grade 5 or above in Maths

- 56% of students gained a grade 7, 8 or 9 in English

- 40% of students gained a grade 7, 8 or 9 in Maths

- 47% of all entries were grades 7-9

 -43% of students gained 5 or more grades 7-9

- 97% of students gained 5 GCSE passes

- Overall attainment 8 figure: 60.98

The outstanding performance of this cohort is a real testament to the exceptional and consistent hard work of students and staff and the ongoing strength of support from their families.

We wish all of Year 11 the very best of luck with their next steps and look forward to welcoming back a large number to our outstanding Sixth Form.
