DGS remembers

Posted on: 11/11/2021

At Didcot Girls' School, we have marked Remembrance Day in assemblies all week. Our students have had the chance to listen to their Heads of Year talk to them about the significance of Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day and our cadets have the opportunity to come into school in their uniforms. Ethos Leaders have been selling poppies through the week to raise funds for the Royal British Legion and our young people can be seen wearing their poppies with great pride. On Sunday 14th November, our Head Teacher Mrs Littler will be accompanied by six Year 11 students to lay a wreath at the cenotaph in Didcot.

We have invited our students to compose verses to mark Remembrance Day, which we will share on Twitter in the days to come.
